Adding to their recent accomplishments, Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign can now celebrate once again as Billboard announces that “CARNIVAL” is poised to secure the number one position. The energetic collaboration with Rich The Kid and Playboi Carti has steadily climbed the charts, reaching the top spot on the TikTok Billboard Top 50 with a four-position jump. “CARNIVAL” is set to officially claim the number one spot when the chart updates on March 12, surpassing Beyonce’s “TEXAS HOLD ‘EM,” which held the position for just seven days.
“CARNIVAL” becomes his first song to top the charts since his contribution to Katy Perry‘s “E.T.” in 2011. Notably, Kanye now stands as the only rapper in history to achieve a number one record in three decades (2000s, 2010s, and 2020s). Ty Dolla $ign, Playboi Carti, and Rich The Kid also share in the success, with Ty Dolla $ign’s second appearance on a chart-topping track after Post Malone‘s “Psycho,” while the featured guests experience their first time reaching such heights on the Hot 100 chart.
