Ice Spice has officially announced the release date for her eagerly anticipated debut album, Y2K! Scheduled to drop on July 26, the album will be available through 10K Projects/Capitol Records. Alongside the announcement, Ice Spice also shared the cover art for the album and revealed her upcoming tour dates, making for an exciting update for her fans.
Y2K! will feature 10 tracks, including her popular singles “Think U the Shit (Fart)” and “Gimmie a Light”. This debut album follows the success of her debut EP, Like..?, which was expanded into a deluxe edition in July 2023. The Bronx rapper has been building anticipation for this album, and the release date marks a significant moment in her career.
In addition to the album announcement, Ice Spice will be starting an extensive tour this summer. She will begin her tour in Europe, performing at several major festivals. Her European festival circuit kicks off on July 4 at the Roskilde Festival in Denmark and includes stops at Open’er Festival in Poland, Rolling Loud in Austria, Beach, Please! Festival in Romania, Wireless Festival in England, and Openair Frauenfeld in Switzerland. She will also be performing at the Dour Festival in Belgium on July 18.
Following her European stint, Ice Spice will return to North America, starting her tour on July 30 at The Anthem in Washington, D.C. She will then visit numerous major cities across the U.S. and Canada, including Montclair, NJ; Philadelphia, PA; Boston, MA; New York, NY; Detroit, MI; Toronto, Ontario; Chicago, IL; Minneapolis, MN; Denver, CO; Los Angeles, CA; Oakland, CA; Tempe, AZ; Dallas, TX; Houston, TX; Atlanta, GA; and finally, Miami Beach, FL, where the tour will conclude on August 31 at The Fillmore Miami Beach at Jackie Gleason Theater. Throughout her North American tour, she will be supported by RIOTUSA and rapper Cash Cobain.
Ice Spice‘s rise to fame has been rapid. Last year, she hit the Top 10 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart four times. Two of these hits were collaborations with her idol, Nicki Minaj: “Princess Diana” from her EP Like..?, and “Barbie World” from the blockbuster film. Additionally, her feature on Taylor Swift’s “Karma” and the summer hit “Boy’s A Liar, Pt. 2” with U.K. hyperpop singer/producer PinkPantheress further solidified her position in the music industry.
Her success did not go unnoticed, as Ice Spice received four Grammy nominations for the 66th annual awards, including best rap song and best new artist. This recognition is a testament to her talent and the impact she has made in a relatively short period.
Fans can expect Ice Spice to deliver an unforgettable debut album with Y2K! and an energetic tour that showcases her dynamic performance skills.
