Just last week, Rema dropped his latest single “HEHEHE,” setting the stage for his much-anticipated second studio album. Now, the album, titled “HEIS,” has officially been released.
“HEIS” is a follow-up to Rema’s 2022 hit album “Rave & Roses.” This time, the Nigerian artist delves into refining his unique musical style and presenting the sounds he’s passionate about across this 11-track afrobeats compilation. In “HEIS,” Rema boldly addresses his critics and anyone who doubts his artistic vision, offering an array of rhythmic melodies and robust percussive elements that encourage listeners to dance.
The album also highlights an exploration of afrobeats’ origins while pushing the genre forward through modern experimental sounds and sampling. Along with releasing his new album, Rema is touring internationally, with stops in Romania, France, Portugal, England, and others. He is also scheduled to headline the Afro Nation Festival in Detroit, Michigan, on August 17-18.
