Congratulation on the release of “Big Booty”. What was the energy like in the studio when you recorded it, and how did that atmosphere influence the final track?

It was a lot of pressure in the room because this was at an important time where I needed something that could potentially be a hit. It came out great afterwards; pressure makes diamonds.

You mentioned wanting “Big Booty” to be a song that lasts. What makes it stand out in your catalog, and why do you think it resonates with different audiences?

It gives a balance between a flashy lifestyle and a song for females, which to me makes it stand out. It’s able to be heard by all genders, ages, and ethnicities. So it’s great for all audiences.

Growing up in both Marks, Mississippi, and Dallas, Texas, how did those environments shape your music style and your perspective as an artist?

Mississippi gives me the mac and pimpish talk you hear in my music, while Texas gives me the lifestyle to talk about experiences from both states. It opens up my lyrical thinking and creativity.

You’ve collaborated with artists like Honeycomb Brazy on tracks like “In Too Deep.” Can you share a behind-the-scenes moment from a recent collaboration that really stood out to you?

Recording with Brazy, he was funny and controlled the room. I had a cool time around him.

You’ve been on tour and had a chance to perform live for fans. What’s been your favorite moment on stage so far?

Being on stage in South Padre in front of thousands of people.

1501 Certified Entertainment has helped launch several successful artists. How has being part of this label influenced your development as an artist?

I did a lot of studying prior to coming to 1501, however, I ended up learning more than what I thought I would since signing to 1501. I feel like I grew more as a person and man. They’ve put me with the best. I’m currently working on choreo with Devyne Stephens.

You’ve expressed interest in collaborating with artists like Rylo Rodriguez and DeeBaby. What do you admire about their styles, and how do you think your sounds would complement each other?

I admire that they’re telling real and relatable stories. I think we would fit perfectly on a song with our unique styles.

You just dropped Youngest In Charge at only 18—what does that project mean to you, and how do you think it sets you apart from other up-and-coming artists?

This project means everything because I have come such a long way since I’ve started. It has a mix of different genres on the project; it’s not one Dimensional project.
