The action takes place just weeks following the original release of the album, which reached number one on the Billboard 200 and became the record for the most Hot 100 chart entries by a solo artist in one week.
The premium edition includes the songs “DIFFERENT DAY,” “2024,” “BACKR00MS” feat. Travis Scott, and “FOMDJ.” While previously released as YouTube exclusives or played live, their arrival on streaming platforms is a landmark for fans eagerly anticipating their official release.
“BACKR00MS,” namely, has been a best-seller with fans since it came out on YouTube in January 2024, and its inclusion in the deluxe edition has been met with immense excitement.
Playboi Carti further released a visualizer for “FOMDJ,” still keeping his fans engaged, and fans were overjoyed, with most praising the rapper for delivering on his promise of a deluxe edition.
The release of the first MUSIC album logged 298,000 equivalent units in its opening week—the biggest rap album opening in 2025. Additionally, Playboi Carti became the first rapper to have 30 songs simultaneously charting on the Billboard Hot 100, a feat that Taylor Swift and Morgan Wallen had previously accomplished.
