French Breads You Should Try

Baguette

This long, thin French bread can go up to 1 meter in length. It’s got a crunchy crust sometimes sprinkled with sesame seeds or else. Baguette is best suited for breakfast or lunch sandwiches as you can half the loaf easily and enjoy its softness inside.

Brioche

This is a type of bread that has tons of butter and a lot of eggs which makes it rich, dense and tender crumbs.

Fougasse

This bread originated in Provence, typically baked in large hot stone hearth. In some places they bake fougasse in the shape of wheat. Fougasse is not to be mixed with focaccia which is the Italian version of the bread baked in oiled pans.
