In a month, The Swoosh will honor the late Virgil Abloh’s life and renowned creative style by showcasing the artist’s numerous collaboration projects with the Beaverton-based company during Miami Art Week. The footwear giant will also unveil a pair of Nike Air Terra Formas, Abloh’s most recent posthumous release, in connection with the four-day show.
The first unique design from the late visionary explores a mid-cut build in tandem with a concealed zipper shroud. It was created by both Abloh and Nike’s design staff. Before a multicolored midsole indulges over a spiked tread, the top is covered in stitched-on Swooshes and a selection of layered panels.
The Off-White x Nike Air Terra Forma features two muted colorways, the first of which is anchored by a white upper with a vivid purple tongue tab and coordinating sock liner. Leaked images were used to debut the shoe. The latter is dressed in an earthy-toned design, with a deep medium brown top and a striking jet-black sole that is broken up by the shoe’s name in neon green.
