Yu-Gi-Oh!, which first aired on 4Kids before spending a brief time on Cartoon Network’s Toonami block, probably introduced many Americans to anime. The card game was just as popular, if not more so, and it is mainly to thank for the franchise’s continued viability. Even Adidas is aware of the series’ rich history and already celebrated it with a sizable collaboration collection, which will soon get a sequel in the form of the recently unveiled ADI2000.
This forthcoming Yu-Gi-Oh! x Adidas ADI2000 has Yami Yugi as its primary influence. The pair has a purple lining and supplementary laces in addition to a black leather top and matching midsole, replicating the character’s trademark costume.
