The Nike Basketball squad, which now features one of the strongest signature lineups in recent memory, has just traveled back in time with its Embossed Series, paying respect to the shapes that were initially designed for the court.
The Nike Dunk High now combines the retextured panels in a Black and “University Blue” ensemble, following the Nike Air Force 1 Low’s recent indulgence in the EMB aesthetic with a wave of Laker influence.
The silhouette’s jet-black overlays provide a smoother texture when compared to its crisp white, tumbled leather base layer, maintaining a consistent clad-leather look.
A sporadic sample of “University Blue” anchors the midfoot Swooshes and tongue tabs, mimicking the widely-decorated “Panda” scheme with its monochrome color blocking, while its underlying midfoot panel comes loaded with integrated basketball patterns.
