This Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG release covers all the points that AJ1 enthusiasts have been enamored by over the previous five years, albeit falling just a touch of red shy of becoming an authentic “Air Jordan 3 True Blue” homage.
The forefoot and lace collar overlay is covered in the brand’s distinctive blue while matching Swoosh and WINGS emblems contrast with cement grey on the heel and ankle collar. The underlay reveals a smooth white leather that matches the outsole’s uniform white color. As the iconic OG-style NIKE AIR shoebox gets bathed in that sentimental hue, a new shoebox color also arises.
We’re left wondering why the True Red on the tongue label or even the aforementioned WINGS logo wasn’t added by Jordan Brand, which begs the question. Currently, January 18th, 2023, is set as the date of release.
