Anthony Edwards, who signed with adidas as a rookie in 2020, continues to make waves in the sneaker world with his latest footwear release. The adidas AE1, introduced in late 2023, has garnered attention for its flexible upper and distinctive honeycomb-style TPU overlay.
Since its debut, the adidas AE1 has seen various color iterations, ranging from the sleek “MX Charcoal” to the vibrant “Wonder Clay,” released earlier this month.
Just in time for the NBA playoffs, Edwards teased the arrival of the new adidas AE1 Low with a 30-second teaser shared on Instagram. The AE1 Low maintains the signature TPU overlay that defines the silhouette, albeit with a lower cut black upper that stops at the ankle.
In the teaser video, Edwards showcases the AE1 Lows while seated in a car with a friend, lacing up the sneakers to reveal a striking bright pink overlay on the first version.
While an official release date for the AE1 Low has yet to be announced, fans can expect Edwards to debut the sneaker during his upcoming game, adding another chapter to his partnership with adidas on and off the court.
