Gunna Beats The Weeknd and Debuts at No. 1

Gunna’s DS4EVER lands at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart with 150,300 equivalent album units after a long battle with Abel’s DAWN FM. Both of the albums were surprise-released and announced a few days before dropping. Rapper’s third album debuted with 193,5 million streams and marks his second No. 1 following WUNNA, released in 2020. The Canadian singer ended up at No. 2 with 148,000 album units. Both artists dropped the deluxe edition with surprise tracks days after the release.

Gunna’s DS4EVER is star-sudden with appearances from Roddy Ricch, 21 Savage, Future, Chris Brown, and other huge stars. The super-producer Timbaland praised The Weeknd’s DAWN FM and even compared the album to Michael Jackson‘s THRILLER, but it still wasn’t enough to beat Gunna. The 28-year-old rapper took to Instagram to thank fans.
