Real-life ex-baes Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas play a couple in a toxic relationship in the erotic psychological thriller “Deep Water,” directed by Adrian Lyne. This marks Adrian’s first film in 20 years. He created hits like “Unfaithful,” “Fatal Attraction” and “Indecent Proposal.”
“Deep Water,” which is based on a 1957 Patricia Highsmith novel, started shooting back in 2019 and premiered on March 18th. Its release was delayed because of COVID-19. The fact that Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas had an offscreen makes this erotic drama even more fun. Affleck plays Vic, a designer living in a fancy mansion with his wife, Melinda (Ana de Armas), and their daughter, Trixie (Grace Jenkins). Melinda constantly keeps an eye on other guys and his husband, Vic, allows her to have affairs in order to avoid a divorce. But then Melinda disappears…
