Sean Kingston has recently been in the spotlight for the wrong reasons.
On May 23, the same day Florida police raided his Fort Lauderdale home and took his mother into custody, he was arrested in Fort Irwin, Southern California. Arrest warrants from the Broward County Sheriff’s Office allege that Kingston, 34, and his mother Janice Turner, 61, were involved in a scheme to defraud multiple businesses of over $1 million, including stealing jewelry, cash, a luxury car, and other items. The Florida police raided a Fort Lauderdale residence, where the singer—legally known as Kisean Anderson—was reported to be living according to February court documents. Sean Kingston has agreed to be extradited to Florida.
Despite these legal troubles, he is now focusing on his music career, releasing a new single titled ‘Why Oh Why’ in collaboration with NBA Youngboy.
