Noxek draws inspiration from his life experiences, particularly a challenging upbringing marked by financial hardships, which has shaped his fierce and assertive artistic identity. His breakthrough single, “Lonewolf,” was a turning point that helped him pursue music as a full-time career.

Having achieved tremendous success with his EP, Do U Hear Me?, and garnering millions of views for his album, Vital, Noxek is now set to unveil his upcoming record. Offering a sneak peek into his future projects, “The Gutter” gives fans a taste of what’s to come. The rapper promises more delightful surprises, showcasing his ever-evolving artistry.

“The Gutter” portrays your evolution from humble origins to achieving success in the industry. Could you elaborate on how this track effectively captures the very essence of your personal growth and transformation?

I personally feel this track captures the essence of my growth and transformation by hitting key points about where I came from all the way to where I am now, and all the ups and downs in between. With key bars like “I remember days when I didn’t have things that, look at my face I’m saying man don’t play it safe,” expressing the times when I didn’t have the confidence or fully believe in myself yet, to the point of me advising the listener if they want something, go get it. Don’t play it safe.

The new single unravels your risk-taking side and showcases an unapologetic attitude. Can you tell us more about the inspiration behind this fierce and assertive aspect of your music?

A lot of the attitude in my songs come from life events and things that I’ve gone through in my life from a very young age all the way up until now. I’m unapologetically myself and I wouldn’t change that for anything.

What specific challenges and moments of darkness from your upbringing have had the greatest impact on your artistic identity, and how do you infuse those emotions into your songs?

Growing up with a really difficult childhood and teen years made me into an animal. There were days we didn’t have heat, hydro, or even hot water. Money wasn’t accessible, so I had to teach myself very young how to make ends meet for my brother and myself. All of these emotions are within my music and displayed with immense rage, aggression, and dominance.

“Lonewolf” was a breakthrough single for you. Can you share the story behind the song and what it means to you personally?

“Lonewolf” is actually a very important song to me, I’m glad I was asked about it. I created this song when I was in a very uncertain time in my life, and it was going to be my last song I was going to release. That was until it ended up becoming my biggest song to date and currently is sitting at 500,000+ views on YouTube. This song means so much to me, because it was a turning point for me. It turned music from a part time job to a full time career.

Do U Hear Me? made a significant impact and reached #49 on the iTunes charts. Which track from the record resonates with you the most, and why? Did the success of the EP change your perspective or approach to music-making?

My favorite track from ‘DO U Hear Me?’ would without a doubt be the title track, number 6. That song to this day is still very important to me. After that EP release I knew that I had people around me showing immense amounts of love. It was at this point that I realized I can actually see the work starting to pay off.

Having garnered millions of views for the album, Vital, do you have any plans to release a new record or EP? Is “The Gutter” a potential glimpse into what we can expect in your future projects?

There is most definitely a new album on the way. No date yet, but it’s coming very soon. “The Gutter” Is a good representation of what to expect!

You have gained recognition for your fearless exploration of diverse sounds and styles. Can we anticipate any surprising genres that you would like to delve into in your upcoming singles?

I love exploring my creative abilities with music! I feel I’ve tackled most of the styles and genres I’ve set out to achieve, but I wouldn’t say that’s the end of the surprises from Noxek just yet though.
