NIKE, Inc., although a serious corporation, has never shied away from having fun. The Swoosh’s goods have benefited from a not-so-serious mentality, from humorous commercials to whimsical designs. Recently, the brand’s upbeat side released a kid’s Nike Air Force 1 Low with a “Finding Nemo”-inspired clownfish pattern on the heel.
While not an official partnership, the unreleased sneaker quickly brings to mind the popular character from Pixar’s 2003 smash film. The majority of the upper’s color scheme is white and orange, with the latter exhibiting wave-like designs along the back. On the spine, a smiling clownfish replaces the typical Nike logo, while an aquatic landscape appears on the tongue.
The Preschool Air Force 1’s midsole keeps things basic underfoot. The outsoles, on the other hand, forgo their usual design in favor of Nike Grind material. Manufacturing floor wastes are repurposed to generate Grind, a durable and environmentally friendly compound, as part of the brand’s commitment to sustainability.
